A very warm welcome to our beautiful part of the world, The Renvyle peninisula on Connemara’s Wild Atlantic Way.
Iasc Restaurant is found in The Maol Reidh Hotel in Tullycross village. Iasc is the Irish word for fish. We are very proud of our seafood and all our fish is caught and landed off our local shores. Our fish menu changes almost every evening, depending on what the lads catch on their days outing. We do have staples such as Killary Mussels and John Wards Dooncastle oysters which are farmed within miles of our doors. Other fish which we serve are Lobster, Killary Prawns, Renvyle Scallops, Mackerel, Pollock, Cleggan Crabmeat, Hake, Cod, and of course Salmon.
Meat lovers are not forgotten about though with Bernard King from Leenane providing us with his organic mountain Lamb and all our beef sourced from along the west coast.
We have spontaneous and impromptu music sessions in our bar, in which we also serve food, where you can have a chat with the locals or fellow visitors, read your book or simply immerse yourself in your own world of thoughts.
Under the present ownership, we are just in our second year of service. We are delighted, honoured and humbled in our first year of trading to have won the TRAVEL & HOSPITALITY magazines best modern Irish hotel for 2019 and werebeen shortlisted for the Coastal Escape of the Year, Gourmet Getaway of the Year , Hotel Restaurant of the Year , Hotel Bar of the Year and 3* Hotel of the Year in the IRISH HOTEL AWARDS, winning THE COASTAL ESCAPE award
